01 · BEGINNINGS
Showing up
is everything.
Early on, I learned that showing up for people matters more than having the answers. When a classmate was diagnosed with cancer, a group of us — students and our teacher — shaved our heads so he wouldn't feel alone.
We called ourselves the Bald Eagles. Our story made it onto Good Morning America and into People magazine — not for curing cancer, but for showing what love in action actually looks like.

04 · TAKING ON AMAZON
Fighting for the
American dream.
In America, that dream often starts with building something of your own. But monopolies are strangling it — for small businesses, for communities, for democracy itself.
I walked away from leading the largest smart meter project in the country — fresh off winning Project of the Year — to fight what I believed was the biggest threat to American small business: Amazon.
I built MyBeeble to level the playing field for mom-and-pop shops. We earned national recognition, landed on a reality TV show, and served thousands. We didn't beat Amazon. But we proved it could be challenged.
